Saturn's circle Household

My partner, two friends, and I moved into a house dubbed "Saturn's Circle" in May 2023, named after the semi-circular driveway that borders the front yard of the property. We knew that the guest room would eventually serve as a bedroom for the homeowner's mother. I imagined a green room that provided calm, rest, and security to those who stayed there. The molding allowed us to experiment with a two-toned monochrome wall, giving depth and intrigue to the space. As for decor, I selected vintage artwork from Dickenson Avenue Antique Market. Staging furniture and decor consists of goods possessed by household members.

The dining room is a bold project, beginning with painting the walls fuschia! Sustainable design is encouraged through the use of second-hand items. The dining table and chairs were found on Facebook Marketplace. The rug is a gift from the family, and the artwork is the homeowner/client’s. The carpet floor is replaced with luxury vinyl plank flooring. What remains is the chandelier which compliments the curves in the dining chairs and the color of the art frame. The red walls stimulate hunger, encouraging a healthy appetite. Plans remain for window drapery.
